Not much to report this month. John and our team of staff have been getting on with jobs—mowing, strimming, cleaning and painting. We’re almost ready to start our ‘mid-season’ when we open the bar and restaurant 6 evenings a week. We’ll begin with a limited menu while we train up our new staff but should be up and running fairly soon. The pool is ready to go, as soon as the weather improves! We’ve had a lot of rain so everywhere looks fresh and green, but we could do with a significant stretch of sunshine to cheer us all up!! |

Sarah took the girls to the UK to see family during the school holidays. They drove almost 3000km up to Anglesey via Worcester but managed to visit Shakespeare's birthplace and Windsor Castle as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins! They had a great time, and enjoyed some shopping too! |

A busy month ahead—Rebecca is off on a school trip to Italy; we have several meetings at school for next year—Danielle will be leaving the school at Francueil and moving up to the college at Bléré and may be taking up an option to do extra German lessons. Lots of end of term concerts and shows, not forgetting the village Brocante and Fete de la St Jean (see list below). And juggling all of this with the bar and kitchen in the evening is never easy! We’re always quite glad when it’s the end of term and we can at least concentrate on running the site!!
